Today we are in for a treat! One of TFFT’s oldest Scholars, Richard Augustino, wrote a heartfelt and inspiring piece on his accomplishments and expressing gratitude to TFFT’s wonderful supporters. Richard recently graduated from high school, and looks forward to continuing his education when he goes to college. We would like to share some of his reflection with you, because you make TFFT’s work possible. In doing so, you give all of our scholars meaning and purpose. Thank you for providing them with the opportunity to dream big and to create their own success.

Remembering why I am in this lifetime is my greatest task. This is what makes me keep dreaming and realize that I have a purpose and mission that only I can accomplish. It is like a compass that gives my life direction. I always believe it’s absolutely true that the whole world will benefit from me realizing my mission.

Finishing high school marks a great accomplishment in my life.  I see great things ahead and feel so proud of myself. Being out of school teaches me new things and now I can see what really happens in my community. I have learned a lot and I keep on growing every day. I have realized that I have a debt of gratitude to pay as TFFT has done so much to ensure that I discover my mission.

One of the jobs I have done is teach my young brothers and sisters at Good Hope and Arusha Modern. I am so grateful for the opportunity, and I hope to expand my teaching to other TFFT schools too. Thank you to TFFT for helping me unleash my potential. I can now fit in any community.

TFFT is really a great organization with the best vision. I am so happy for the HAPPY and SAD boxes found in Government schools. This is a great idea. I have learned a lot from it. I had one week to work with Hedwiga to learn what happens with the boxes and it was a great experience. I know exactly what happens in the community, which tells me that I have to do something for my community. Thank you to TFFT.

I am also looking forward to be doing my SAT, TOEFL and ACT for college. Thank you to TFFT for keeping track of my life and paving my way to a bright future. I promise never to let myself and anyone down. I have the greatest task to accomplish, and that is doing something for my country. Very soon this dream will come true.

I am greatly gifted by God to have had TFFT take me through my education. It is not easy for anyone to believe that the Richard of ten years ago could be the Richard that I am today. Thank you to TFFT. I am so grateful for the support that TFFT gives me. To Meghan, Melissa, Kaitlin, Denis, Susan, Stephen, Jim, Ray, Hedwiga, and Daniel: thank you for being part of my life.

TFFT keeps my hopes alive by working hard to ensure that I go to college in the United States. This is a great sacrifice to me. Thank you so much TFFT. The belief TFFT has in me impacts so much in my life and gives many other people faith in me. I know how to utilize whatever you offer me in order to discover the best in me. Thank you for working on my SAT, TOEFL and ACT.
