The riders started arriving in Arusha last Tuesday before the Saturday AM kickoff. The days before the ride are filled with visits to TFFT’s Partner Schools and Partner Orphanages so that the riders have the opportunity to see TFFT’s mission in action. These days were emotionally charged as the riders soaked up day-to-day life in Arusha, the loving personalities of our amazing kids, the devastating reality of the orphanages, stories of great hope and ingenuity from our partners, and TFFT’s spirit.
We are so fortunate to have Deb Schwedhelm along to brilliantly capture the experience through her lens. Be sure to follow along on her blog to see her images and read her impressions. Deb’s work was described here as tender and soulful, and often encourages you to explore the emotions of self-discovery and inner strength. We are so thankful that Deb is here to capture TFFT and RIDETZ in a way only she can. Below I will leave you with some of the photographs Deb captured on the first few days.
Here are some of our riders getting to know the TFFT kids:
Last Thursday we spent some time at Nkoaranga Orphanage, the orphanage where Meghann first volunteered and met the triplets all those years ago.
Thank you, Deb, for these images. We can’t wait to share what she captures during RIDETZ!
