Kelly’s First Impressions

The flight from Charlotte to Tanzania was long (thanks to an 8 hour layover in London!) and exhausting.  I left the US on a Friday night, landing in Nairobi, Kenya – the last stop on my trip – before sunrise on Sunday.  Despite only dozing intermittently on the flights, I was surprisingly awake and alert.

Ready…! It is both enjoyable and taxing being a Country Director. Just after my first two months with TFFT, I was lucky to take a break to the beach in the Philippines, to relax and reflect on TFFT’s priorities moving forward. Two things were an experience that kept me excited: i) The Zip-line (I call

2012 Annual Report

FAMILY … This word comes up a lot when people think of TFFT, our network, and our scholars. We as a team pride ourselves on the family TFFT creates. Our mountain (aka our mission) is large. How is January treating you so far? January can be such a bittersweet month for me. The lull after holiday festivities brings a welcome return to routine but also a sadness that cherished days filled with time with family and friends in celebration of the holidays have past. My favorite way to extinguish the January
