Jambo! I am so thrilled to have been given the opportunity to write a blog post on behalf of Charlotte Country Day School’s new TFFT club! This year club members have been devoted to helping TFFT support their young scholars and efforts over in Tanzania.

Right now, we are in the midst of our biggest project this year! The TFFT club is currently spreading awareness to students and faculty about literacy around the globe, as well as collecting book donations for TFFT. As a club, we have designed posters with literacy facts and posted them around the school. Students and faculty are now conscious of the vast numbers of children who aren’t given opportunities to learn to read and write. From this, they have also become aware that it is organizations such as TFFT that help to provide such opportunities for children so that they may be successful in their lives.

Charlotte Country Day School club members have designated a collection bin in our library for the book donations, and I must say the pile of books is getting bigger and bigger daily. I even had to take a bunch of books home to make room in the bin for more!

What I think is so special about the club’s literacy drive is all of the club members’ desire to resonate a passion among the student body for The Foundation for Tomorrow’s efforts. I believe that it’s this type of passion that ignites a spark in others to want to make a difference too. I’m so excited to watch the admiration for TFFT grow as the school year progresses, and for years to come.

Asante Sana!
