Summer Break

Because the SHARE THE LOVE campaign is always such fun, we thought we should create another opportunity to connect with the TFFT kids! This time we would love for your children to write a letter summarizing their summer! Meghann leaves for Tanzania at the end of August, and she will bring the letters with her.

Annual Fund Recap

Gosh it has been forever since I have written a post! I guess that is the result of a busy summer and the luxury of incredible interns (don't leave us in the U.S. office, Maggie!!). The good news is that I have something very exciting to talk about today... alllllmost as exciting as Meghann's wedding!

Celebrating the 4th from TZ!

I'm back!  Since I have not written a blog for a few weeks, I am going to backtrack a bit to cover all of the exciting events that have happened. Tutoring at Usa River Academy has continued to go well, and I love getting to know the children better both as students and as kids!

Congrats!

Since her childhood she was not sure about what she wanted to be, but she enrolled in primary school and later joined TFFT to complete her Ordinary Level education. It was not easy either to decide which route to take after her Ordinary Level completion. This important decision involved the expertise and skills of our

Sports Day!

Hey it's Katy, and I am one of the interns this summer in Tanzania.  I am also Chloe's little sister.  I have been interning for the past month and I am finishing my internship this week.  I graduated from high school in Oklahoma this May and I am starting at Texas A&M this August.  After

Jambo July!

As I begin the 7th week of my internship, it’s crazy to think about all the different things I’ve learned and seen so far. It’s been cool to see all of the inner-workings of TFFT and all that goes into making this organization so successful. Since my last post, I learned how to navigate our

Your Impact

Saturday June 15, 2013 was one of my happiest days at work. Typically, Saturday is not one of the official working days at TFFT, but sometimes because of the nature of our work--love and dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable Tanzanian young ones--we have to work. This was a day which our Star High

Jambo from Zoe!

Habari za asubuhi (Good Morning)! I cannot believe how quickly this summer is flying. I am finishing my third week in Arusha, and so much has happened since my last blog post. I am enjoying my time here greatly, and my favorite part of every week is spending time with the Scholars! They are absolutely

Zoe’s Internship

Jambo from Arusha! My name is Zoe Rae Rote, and I am this year’s TFFT Summer Field Intern. I will be spending nine weeks in Arusha, working with TFFT and tutoring at Usa River Academy. Although today is only my fifth day, I love Arusha and the TFFT team already! The highlight of the last

Happy Birthday, Website!

Hello! Last year we welcomed June with a band-spankin-new website. I remember the launch clearly. Kat, Catherine, and I had been working around the clock so that it could go live before I hopped on a plane to Tanzania for RIDETZ. Well, here we are one year later, and I cannot imagine life without our
