Dickson spent two days in the hospital last week for what we thought was appendicitis. Thankfully it turned out it was just severe stomach cramps. Dickson wrote you the following piece about his experience.
Monday.
It was a funny day when I was feeling sick. I was feeling scared after being taken to the hospital for the medical check-up. When I was in the hospital, I used medicine and a drip. I was not bored because Erasto, Chloe and Prisca came. I was so fine because Chloe brought for me a phone and I used it in communicating to people such as Melissa, Emily, and Erasto. After feeling well, I started thinking about my exams which were starting on the next day and I started remembering the school routine and feeling like I was at school, but someone who made me not bored was Chloe because she had a lot of time seeing me and talking to me. She gave me some books and 1 phone so I felt at home, so it helped me from being scared and thinking that I was at school and I had already prepared for my exams.
Thanks,
it is Dickson Ephraim.
Here is his photo essay of his hospital stay. The muffins were from Melissa!
Sounds like quite the experience, Dickson! We’re just glad you’re okay!!
Our kids are covered under one of the best health insurance plans in Tanzania. They each have a card so that if they get sick over school holiday, their foster family can take them in for care without needing one of our team members present or having to pay anything out of pocket. This is something we seek funding for each year. If you are interested in investing in our kids’ health care, email kaitlin@thefoundationfortomorrow.org for more information.
